Scalable approaches for many-qubit devices

The main goal of this project is to explore a highly scalable approaches to controlling quantum dot spin qubit devices based on cryogenic electronics. Specifically, we aim to use cryogenic DC voltage sources that are custom designed at ZEA-2. These will be flip-chip bonded to qubit devices to bias the electrostatic confinement gates for the quantum dots. Our goal is to demonstrate a device with 50 independently tunable qubits. The figure schematically shows the vision motivating this approach.

Furthermore, we are developing fully automated tuning procedures which will be tested on this device to determine their reliability.
